Brusubi, The Gambia – 23rd April 2026: GYIN Gambia Chapter is proud to announce its participation in the ANDANDORR Programme Onboarding Ceremony, scheduled for 27 April 2026 at Paradise Suites Hotel.

The ANDANDORR Programme, implemented by the International Trade Centre (ITC) under the European Union’s Youth Empowerment Project (YEP), is designed to empower young entrepreneurs and women in The Gambia. The initiative provides incubation, acceleration, financing, market access, and tailored support for businesses in tourism, creative industries, agriculture, and green/smart entrepreneurship. Its mission is to address the economic root causes of irregular migration by creating sustainable employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for Gambian youth.

Funded by the European Union through the EU-YEP Tourism and Creative Industries (EU-YEP TCI) and implemented in collaboration with the Government of The Gambia, the programme is a flagship initiative to strengthen the competitiveness, growth, and sustainability of Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) in the tourism and creative sectors.

Following a rigorous selection process, 585 MSMEs have been chosen for the first cohort. These enterprises will now be formally onboarded into a structured acceleration framework offering product development, market access, business development services, and access to finance.

Institutionalized within the Gambia Investment and Export Promotion Agency (GIEPA), the programme unites key ecosystem actors to deliver coordinated, high-impact support. Rooted in the Wolof word Andandorr—meaning “partnership”—the initiative embodies a shared commitment to inclusive economic growth, job creation, and private sector development.

The onboarding ceremony will mark the official launch of support to the selected MSMEs, including an introduction to programme components, expectations, and the formal signing of Terms and Conditions by beneficiaries to ensure accountability and commitment throughout the programme lifecycle.
