Since the end of September 2025, the LCCA Technical Working Group (TWG) has been driving a transformative program across The Gambia. Beginning with program management and followed by the launch of TWG workshops in the four regions — LRR, NBR, CRR, and URR — the initiative has combined knowledge-sharing, practical activities, and regional collaboration to deliver meaningful results.
Through a series of workshops and a study visit to Ziguinchor, participants gained valuable insights that were quickly put into practice. Activities in MHPSS and Career Guidance and Counselling further strengthened the program’s reach and relevance.
Together, the TWG groups carried out projects. The technical assistance received from the ZME Project has been pivotal, inspiring confidence that impact can be achieved even without external funding.
Over the past eight months, institutional and organizational relationships have flourished beyond expectations. Strong Regional Technical Working Groups now function as one interconnected ecosystem of drivers. With referral mechanisms in place, duplication is being curbed, and partners are standing firmly by one another to sustain collective progress.
Collaboration with NYC, NEDI, DOL, GYIN, GRCS, and USET demonstrates how six partner institutions across four regions can achieve greater results through strong commitment and shared vision.
This story is a testament to what can be accomplished when institutions break silos, embrace collaboration, and commit to shared goals.
