Lamin Kinteh, the Winner of GYIN Gambia’s Rural Youth Awards ‘Best Service Provider of Agro-Products of the Year 2019’, has made a profit of fifteen thousand dalasis (D15,000.00) barely a month of receiving his first disbursement of D25,000.00 worth of Agricultural Inputs.

Kinteh, a native of Kerewan in the North Bank Region, received his items on 13th May, 2019 in a presentation held at the GYIN Gambia Secretariat in Churchill’s Town.

During a performance assessment conducted by GYIN Gambia, Kinteh said upon receiving his first disbursement, he moved to his new shop and was able to sell all his goods in which he made sales of D40,000.00.

“I sold all my goods in the village and make a profit of D15,000.00,” he said, while thanking GYIN Gambia for coming up with the initiative to support rural young people.

Kinteh, who is the sole provider of farm inputs in his area, has expanded his business after winning the Award by moving to his new shop on the highway in Kerewan and bought new sets of goods.

He thanked P2RS for sponsoring the award categories which, he said, availed him the opportunity to achieve his dream of relocating his business to meet his market demand.

Kinteh sells watering cans, sprayers, insecticides, seeds and among a host of other inputs.
