The Global Youth Innovation Network (GYIN) Gambia chapter will on Saturday, 16th March, 2019 hold a graduation ceremony for 50 (fifty) young people who undergone its six months Youth Mentorship Programme on Enterprise Management.

The graduation ceremony, which will be held at the Agricultural Rural Farmers’ Training Center in Jenoi, Lower River Region (LRR), is the second batch of GYIN Gambia’s coaching and mentoring programme.

Funded solely by the Youth Empowerment Project (YEP)- www.yep.gm, the Youth Mentorship Programme on Enterprise Management has been designed to provide support for the mentees on Understanding business ecosystem, Banking and finance, Applying grants and loans as well as Records keeping.

The aim of the programme is to boost Gambian rural entrepreneurship and agribusiness as it supports young people in their efforts to establish sustainable investments in order to become self-reliant. It is anchored on coaching and career counseling rather than the single method of structured trainings.

The event will bring together dignitaries from various ministries, partners including YEP and Nema Project, Gambia Youth Chamber of Commerce (GYCC), Start-Up Incubator Gambia (SIG), Sterling Consortium amongst a host of others.

The LRR Governor will also grace the occasion and deliver words of wisdom to the graduates. The Chairman of the Mansakonko Area Council, Mr. Landing B. Sanneh will serve as the Guest Speaker of the graduation ceremony.

Certificates of merit and completion will be awarded to deserving mentees who perform extremely well during the course of the six months mentorship programmes.

Furthermore, certificates of Appreciation will also be given to development partners in recognition of their long-term support financially, logistically and technically to GYIN Gambia.
