Banjul, The Gambia — April 13, 2026: The Gambia Youth Innovation Network (GYIN) Gambia Chapter proudly joined partners and stakeholders today at the official launch of the Climate Action Lab Accelerator Program, held at the Alliance Française in Banjul. Organized by the Great Green Wall Frontline with funding from the French Embassy in Banjul, the initiative marks a pivotal step toward advancing climate resilience and sustainable enterprise development across The Gambia.
The launch event convened a diverse group of participants, including civil society organizations, NGOs, government institutions, investors, entrepreneurs, youth leaders, and women’s groups. Distinguished dignitaries, notably representatives from the French Embassy, honored the occasion with their presence, underscoring the importance of international collaboration in tackling climate challenges.
Organizers highlighted that the Climate Action Lab will serve as a platform to support climate-positive enterprises and strengthen sustainable value chains, particularly in agroforestry, aquaculture, and the circular economy. The program introduced its vision, approach, and 2026 cohort, while outlining the collaborative role of partners in shaping a strong enabling environment for green enterprise acceleration.
“This initiative represents a bold step forward in building inclusive economic growth while protecting our environment. By empowering young entrepreneurs and communities, we are laying the foundation for a climate-resilient future,” organizers stated.

The Climate Action Lab Accelerator Program is expected to catalyze innovation, foster partnerships, and drive impactful solutions that contribute to The Gambia’s sustainable development agenda.
