As part of our commitment to creating opportunities for returnees, women, and youth, we are thrilled to introduce our Community Business Advisory Service, a vital component of our project titled “Foster Agribusiness and Entrepreneurship Opportunities for Returnees and Host Communities in Rural Areas.” This project is generously funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and skillfully implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
Our Community Business Advisory Service is designed to provide critical support to 175 individuals, equipping them with the tools and knowledge needed to excel in various entrepreneurial ventures. The focus areas of our advisory service encompass a wide range of business sectors, including:
1. Poultry Value Addition: We understand the significance of the poultry industry in The Gambia, and our business advisers are here to assist entrepreneurs in adding value to poultry products, from processing to packaging.
2. Vegetables Value Addition: The agricultural sector plays a pivotal role in our nation’s economy. Through our advisory service, we empower entrepreneurs to add value to vegetable products and make a positive impact.
3. Nuts and Dried Cereals: Nuts and cereals are valuable commodities, and our business advisers work closely with entrepreneurs to enhance the processing and packaging of these products.
4. Agro-Food Processors: Food processing is a key sector for economic growth. Our advisers offer guidance to entrepreneurs in this field to ensure the production of high-quality, market-ready products.
5. Agro-Beauty Processors: The beauty industry is evolving, and our advisory service supports entrepreneurs in the agro-beauty sector to create innovative and natural beauty products.
