As part of its close cooperation with local CSOs/Partners, the Gambian-German Centre cooperated with GYIN Gambia Chapter to implement a four-day digital skills training for agric-entrepreneurs in Soma, LRR targeting 28 agric-entrepreneurs.
The training was organised from the 23.04.24 to the 26.04.24 and is implemented within the framework of the #GGAC’s joint implementation of the activity titled ‘’Agro-Food Processing and Digital Skills for Income Generation’’, targeting Women, Youth and Returnee Migrants. The initiative is part of the Global Programme Centres for Migration and Development (ZME), commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, in cooperation with the Ministry of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration and Employment (MOTIE), implements “ZME / GGAC” in The Gambia.
The training will equip the Agro-Food entrepreneurs’ (beneficiaries of GGAC agro-food processing and packaging training) with essential digital skills and knowledge in digital marketing to promote or market their businesses/products using digital technology.
The contents of the training include:
Introduction to digital skills and importance of Digital Marketing
Digital marketing planning and strategy
Search engine Marketing (SEM) and Search engine optimization (SEO)
Self-Marketing and personal branding
Digital and social media marketing tools
E-Mail Marketing and Digital advertising (Facebook and Instagram, Google Adwords)
Analysis skills (Facebook, Google Analytics
Content production skills
Creation of Social media platforms (WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Blogs)
Creation and publishing of creative content (designing and producing graphics, photos, and videos) using some free designs and images such as CANVA, CapCut, vecteezy.com and www.freepik.com .
Creation of digital marketing plans and strategies
Cybersecurity (online safety and security)
The training will continue next week in Janjanbureh, CRR targeting another 22 agric-entrepreneurs.
