The Rural Youth Award (RYA) program is a celebration of the remarkable efforts of enterprising youth in rural Gambia. It offers a comprehensive platform that includes mentoring and entrepreneurship training, with a special focus on recognizing and honoring youth achievements in Entrepreneurship, Agribusiness, and Agro-marketing. RYA not only builds market linkages for rural youth but also serves as a source of inspiration, motivation, and empowerment, fostering the development of self-reliant young leaders.

The Entrepreneurship Bootcamp, an integral part of our offerings, is designed to empower young individuals with the entrepreneurial skills and mindset needed to succeed in today’s competitive business landscape. Through the ELIT National Youth Summer Camp, we provide participants with an immersive experience that includes skill development, mentorship, and exposure to the entrepreneurship ecosystem, equipping them for a future of innovation and leadership.

Our Coaching and Mentoring program is dedicated to helping young people identify viable business opportunities, gain access to microfinance institutions, and effectively utilize available financial services and products. We believe that through one-to-one mentoring and coaching initiatives, we can guide young entrepreneurs on the path to success, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their business goals.

In the fast-paced digital age, understanding and harnessing technology is essential for success. Our Digital Literacy Training program empowers beneficiaries with technology literacy, enabling them to navigate the ever-evolving technological landscape. By enhancing their digital skills, we prepare them to leverage technology’s potential for business growth and innovation.

The Agri-Food Value Chain Program, an integral component of our initiatives, is designed to promote locally processed, labeled, and packaged products by rural young entrepreneurs. This program positions these entrepreneurs as drivers of productive and environmentally sustainable agri-food activities, connecting them to markets and increasing their visibility in the industry.

We take pride in coordinating the disbursement of grants to communities and youth organizations across the country. These grants serve as a catalyst for local development initiatives, providing essential financial support to projects that have a positive impact on communities and young entrepreneurs.

Conflict resolution and peacebuilding are critical skills in today’s world. Our Sustainable Peace Trainings equip youth organizations with valuable skills in conflict analysis, resolution, and peacebuilding. These trainings empower young leaders to become advocates for positive change and contribute to peaceful coexistence.

In an era where information flows constantly, media and information literacy are essential. Our MIL Trainings provide participants with the knowledge and skills to engage ethically in public debates, counter hate speech, and critically assess information. These trainings also raise awareness about the dangers of misinformation and fake news.

ELIT is a multifaceted program that includes the annual National Youth Summer Camp. This camp offers young people comprehensive entrepreneurship training and skills development. It serves as a platform for them to explore their entrepreneurial potential and gain valuable insights into the world of business.

Our Youth Mentorship Programme (YMP) is committed to fostering personal and professional growth among young people, particularly those in rural areas. Through mentoring and coaching, we provide guidance and support to empower young individuals, helping them overcome challenges and reach their full potential.

At the heart of our initiatives is the REVCEL program, a tailored entrepreneurship training designed specifically for rural youth. This program equips them with the skills to develop innovative business ventures and access financial support. Through REVCEL, we empower young entrepreneurs to take charge of their futures and drive economic growth in rural areas.

Our collaborative AVIP Project focuses on enhancing agricultural value chains in partnership with the West Africa Rural Foundation. By increasing productivity and facilitating access to markets, we empower young men and women to play a pivotal role in the agricultural sector, thereby boosting employment and income opportunities.

International Youth Day serves as a platform to inspire and engage rural youth in farming activities, fostering innovation in agriculture, technology, and other sectors. This highly interactive program provides rural youth with practical farming experiences, encouraging them to view agriculture as a viable and sustainable business opportunity.
