On Saturday, 15 September 2018, the Global Youth Innovation Network (GYIN) Gambia Chapter launched and commenced a six months mentoring programme for 50 selected youths across the length and breath of the country on enterprise management.
The programme with funding by the European Union (EU) and the support of the International Trade Centre (ITC) through the Youth Empowerment Project (YEP Gambia) supported the youth initiative.
In the same vein, GYIN Gambia selected and contracted 10 mentors to conduct the mentoring process. The six months will conclude with a graduation ceremony after which the 50 mentees will become mentors and ready for a step-down mentorship programme for another batch of intakes.
The programme has also contracted 10 supervisors to provide proper monitoring and evaluation during the six months programme.
