The Global Youth Innovation Network (GYIN) Gambia chapter will on Saturday, 15th September 2018 launch and commence its second edition of its six-months Youth Mentorship Programme.
The launching workshop, which is taking place at the Agricultural Rural Farmers’ Training Center in Jenoi, Lower River Region (LRR) will bring together the 10 selected mentors, 50 selected mentees and 6 supervisors drawn from GYIN Gambia and Managers Prescription Consultancy Firm.
Funded by the Youth Empowerment Project (YEP), the Youth Mentorship Programme aims to provide six months of mentoring of youths with viable business ideas and those with existing business on Enterprise Management.
After commencing with an orientation workshop to kick-start the programme, the Mentorship programme consists of four monthly activities and culminates with a graduation ceremony. These activities entail one-to-one mentoring of mentees, supervision visits to selected mentors and mentees during coaching days as well as organise monthly experience sharing workshops. After the completion of the five months mentoring programme, GYIN Gambia will organise a graduation ceremony for the 50 mentees.
