GYIN Gambia Chapter proudly announces its collaboration with the Central River Region Youth Committee (CRR Youth Committee) as a partner for the “Youth Convergence 2024” held in Wassu from the 14th to 18th of February 2024. Themed “Youth as Catalysts for Inclusive Rural Transformations and Sustainable Development,” this event served as a platform for youth from across the region to come together and drive discussions on shaping opportunities for inclusive rural development and sustainable futures.
The Youth Convergence aimed to empower young people to actively participate in the development process of their communities by fostering dialogue, sharing ideas, and addressing issues pertinent to youth in the region. Through workshops, discussions, and networking sessions, participants explored innovative solutions to challenges facing rural areas and identified ways to leverage youth potential for positive change.
GYIN Gambia Chapter’s involvement in the Youth Convergence underscores its commitment to youth empowerment and community development. By partnering with the CRR Youth Committee, GYIN Gambia facilitated meaningful engagement and collaboration among young people, enabling them to become agents of change in their respective communities.
