GYIN Gambia Chapter is thrilled to announce the launch of the FATE (From Africa To Europe) project, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at empowering youth in Gambia, Rwanda, and Germany to tackle climate change and foster a sustainable future. This project is a collaborative effort to engage young minds in meaningful dialogue and innovative solutions, bridging the gap between Africa and Europe.
The FATE Project is funded by the Africa Europe Foundation (AEF).
The FATE project is not just another environmental program; it is a movement, a revolution driven by the passion and creativity of young people determined to make a difference. This ambitious project aims to empower youth with the knowledge, skills, and platform needed to address the pressing climate challenges of our time. By fostering a strong partnership between Africa and Europe, FATE seeks to create a global network of young leaders dedicated to sustainable development.
The project targets youth aged 15-18 from local partner schools in Gambia, Rwanda, and Germany, as well as university students who will act as mentors. Each youth group will consist of 10 pupils and 5 mentors per country, for a period of three months.
The FATE project is built on the belief that young people are not just the leaders of tomorrow, but the changemakers of today. By providing them with the tools and opportunities to take action, we are empowering a generation to rise to the challenge of climate change. The project aims to enhance their knowledge, boost their confidence, and foster a spirit of collaboration that transcends borders.
